CONTENTSNext month we start a new series to publish the Ph.D. and M.Phil. dissertations relating to Indian languages. If you would like to publish your research dissertations, please send a copy of the dissertation, preferably as a Microsoft Word document, to the Editor or the Associate Editor. Please send it as an attachment to your e-mail. If you have tables, please scan these tables separately as jpeg files, and send them as attachments to the e-mail. Simpler tables will be formatted by us, but certain complex tables, such as the tree diagrams, etc., will have to be prepared as jpeg files. Use thick and bright ink pens to draw the visuals for scanning. We will take sometime to format your dissertation. Upon receipt of the attachment, we will let you know whether your dissertation is accepted for publication in Language in India, and when it is likely to be published. The Editorial Board will have the right to make suitable modifications, usually due to formatting constraints. Our prayer is that we should publish all the available research dissertations on Indian languages, so, if there are technical problems, please do not hesitate to contact us. We will do our best to publish the dissertations. Let us work together to develop our languages. .... Thirumalai.
