Indian Educational System as Seen in
Chetan Bhagat’s Novels

Abstract
This paper is an effort to explore the aspects of Indian education system depicted in Indian Writing in English. This is done through a study of Chetan Bhagat’s novels. As a dynamic young writer portraying the lives of young people, Chetan Bhagat brings out issues relating to Indian education system. Also Chetan Bhagat’s novels reveal the significant impact the Indian education system has on the professional growth of the people.

Introduction
Indian Writers in English have formulated new words and dialectal expressions in their works. Reading Indian Writing in English has become popular among the young people. Chetan Bhagat is one of the popular writers of Indian Writing in English. He is popular among the young readers. He has given a new shape to Indian English novels. Chetan Bhagat is seen to reflect the modern young people in urban areas in his works. He has much wider audience when compared to other Indian English writers. When young people read his novels, they get the feeling of seeing themselves in that story. His works always touch the heart of young people.
